The Trigatu classic and modern dance group was founded in 2003. Tha bases of their choreographies is a classic South-Indian dance, the tamil bharatanátjam. This is one of the most ancient Indian dance forms that has developed from the dances of the tamil tribe.

The music and appearance of the choreographies is authentic to the Indian dance culture. It grabs the audience’s attention and takes them all the way to India. The dances sometimes appear in a light feminine fashion, they use hand signals and other aspects of drama and tell stories of gods or heroes, at other times they are strong and virtuous with harsher rhythms and have tribal origins.
