Margaret Island will celebrate its 10th birthday in 2024 with a series of special events and a new album! And of course a concert in Sárvár.

Margaret Island is a Budapest-based Hungarian pop band founded by three core members Viki, Balint and Kristof in 2014, who teamed up with four musician friends of theirs, to bring their acoustic-folk infused pop songs to life on stage. The band released their debut album in 2015 on Gold Record Music, featuring a song co-written by Margaret Island’s mentor, the legendary Hungarian singer-songwriter János Bródy, and their breakthrough hit, Es?, topping the Hungarian charts for several weeks, and sky-rocketing them to festival headliner status.

With 4 albums under their belt, Margaret Island’s accolades include multiple Hungarian awards for best local band, best singer and best guitarist, and in 2021 the pop group were nominated for best Hungarian band at the MTV EMAs. But the trio is showing no signs of slowing down, as they head into a busy 2024, celebrating the band’s 10 year anniversary.
