The RÉV Ensemble, founded by viola player Róbert Lakatos, has been performing together since 2005. Its members are Hungarian musicians from both the Highlands (Felvidék) and Hungary, united by a shared mother tongue: Hungarian folk music.

The versatile violist and composer, born in the Highlands of Slovakia, is known for his involvement in several influential ensembles, including the Unconventional Meeting of Primás and Esszencia, a “folk music supergroup.”
As a composer, he has written music for numerous renowned theatre and dance productions, including works for the National Theatre of Hungary, the Fitos Dezs? Dance Company, and the acclaimed Csík Band.
This concert is supported by the NKA (National Cultural Fund of Hungary) – Committee for Tradition and Knowledge Transmission.
