The members of Ötödik Évszak (The Fifth Season) have long been distinguished figures in the Hungarian music scene. Their sound playfully blends urban influences with a deep respect for tradition.

At the heart of their music lies authentic folk heritage from the Carpathian Basin, which unfolds toward the world of improvisational genres. The band’s distinctive style is shaped by poetic lyrics, songs in both Hungarian and French, a rich repertoire rooted in lesser-known folk treasures, a creative approach to folk tradition, and the joyful intimacy of chamber music. Their music reveals a wide emotional spectrum to the listener — energetic, virtuosic, melancholic, and full of life-affirming spirit, all seamlessly interwoven throughout their compositions.
This concert is supported by the NKA (National Cultural Fund of Hungary) – Committee for Tradition and Knowledge Transmission.
