The folklore ensemble of traditional music and dance Megdan from Bogdanci, Republic of Macedonia was founded in 2005. Their goal is the cultivation and preservation of the folk dances, songs, music and costumes from Macedonia, in a unique, artistic way.

Megdan is a group of traditional music and dance. They mainly collect from the Southern-Vadar region and from around Bojmija, but they often choose songs, dances from other regions of the country. The folk dances in Macedonia feature elegant movements, exciting rhythms and emotions arising from the soul of one nation.

Macedonian folk dances are characterized by a fascinating combination of tenderness, manliness and skill, which in the highly developed rhythm of the dance make a wonderful spectacle and an exceptional manifestation of the art in the true sense of the word.
